Will Dwarf Gourami Eat Platy Fry?

Hi all, I want to get a dwarf gourami but am afraid they will eat my platy fry. Is that common? What about cherry barbs?

Some gouramis will eat baby platies and others won't, it comes down to the individual fish but generally all fish will eat anything small enough to fit in their mouth. Cherry barbs might not be big enough to eat the platy fry but they might still have a go.
If you are trying to breed platies then just leave the tank with platies in and maybe add a small catfish for the bottom. Corydoras are good for this.
