with other fish give me some suggestions

well which dwarf cichlids are you talking about? and which other fish?

not with the fish you have, are they still in the 10? still got angels, tiger barbs, mollies and tetras?

i got rid of the tetras and 1 molly and when i move im going to get a 30 tall tank 24x12x24

you said you were getting a 55g with all angels, then a 30g with barbs, and now a 30g tall with dwarf cichlids. make up your mind!!!! and be more specific as there are many dwarf cichlids.

Dwarf cichlids may be smaller, but most of them do still display the typical cichlid parenting style which is aggressively chase other fish away from their eggs / young. Keyholes are the most peaceful (min tank size 30 US gallons), although not very colorful. Rams, Apistos, and maybe a few other types should work in a community environment as long as you are aware of the fact that they may become nasty if they breed.

yes i was going to get a 50 gal but we are moving all we have room for is a 20 gal or a 30 tall

lol thats like saying what type of small freshwater fish do you want " any of them". some are agressive and others are calm for the most part, you wil have to pick one or two types and ask about them.

Yup...gotta be more specific. >< For example, African Shelldwellers are tiny but defend their little homes quite vigorously!

ok these 3 African Butterfly Cichlid or Fire Mouth Cichlid or
Red Chromide Cichlid

African Butterfly Cichlid Anomalochromis thomasi - (African obviously) Difficult to sex outside of mating so consider that when purchasing, peaceful and should be suitable for a small community tank

Firemouth Cichlid Thorichthys meeki - (South American) Depends on the individual fish but on average bit more aggressive, and maybe slightly more risky for a community tank. Also they have fairly large mouths so it's not a good idea to have a full grown one with small tetras.

Red Chromide Cichlid Etroplus maculatus - (Asian) Technically a brackish fish.
