I have a camalanus worm outbreak and I moved my fish to a hospital tank. Will the worms in my community tank starve and die without a fish to get on?
Thanks

Camalanus are an internal parasite, they can be seen occasionally as red threads hanging from the fish's anus, moving the fish will not kill off the worms. Do you have red worms in your substrate? these maybe bloodworms.

I had the worms hanging out of the fish and I am treating them but my main tank has the eggs in the sand. Will the eggs die after a while? I'm not really sure how the life cycle works.

I don't have any shrimp and things like that so I guess I can just starve them for a few days. The only things I have in my tank right now is some live plants.

So I'm assuming I can starve the worms to death cause I don't have shrimp in there and I did a 90 percent water change.
