The gourami is unrelenting in her chasing the barbs. They are in a 20gallon with danios and fake plants. Why is the gourami so mean?

Are you sure it's a honey and are you deffinite it's a female? Honeys aren't generaly aggressive and females, even more so, are placid fish. Even so, they vary in character from one individual to the next but the barbs should be quick enough to get away from her anyway. Also, you may want to get some more honeys if she is the only one as this would distract her and limmit aggression - I'd get 2 more females and a male (if you don't already have others).

Yea, I'm positive it is a female honey gourami. She is the only one in the tank-I didn't know they wanted friends. I was thinking she was chasing the rosey barbs because they are orange just like her and she might be thinking they are gouramis too.

The barbs are quick but I still think she is stressing them out.
