I would love to have one but they are SOOO expensive!!!

Also, since we're on the subject, can they hook right up to a standard faucet (bathroom) or something like what a water hose hooks to?
You can actually make one for not a lot of money. The part that hooks up to the faucet is the same thing used to fill and drain a water bed. You need an adapter to hook it up to the faucet. You can buy a copper one at Lowes or Home Depot for a dollar or 2. Then all you need is a cheap garden hose and maybe a vacuum attachment if you want to use it to drain also. As I said earlier, I think it is much better to manually syphon than to use the faucet to drain. I bet you could put one together for less than $20. There's probably a post or 2 in the DIY forum. Even at that, you can still buy a 25' one online at petsmart.com for about $25.99 plus shipping. Here's a link to their page with them and all the accesories.

When I hook mine up to the bathroom faucet, I have to unscrew a piece from the faucet, then I can screw the python in. I love mine, and use it even though I only have a 20 gal and a 5 gal.

I also noticed last night that walmart is now carring pythons. I think they were $25 or $29 for the 25 foot one. (This was in Carson City, NV)

I've just done this.

They are hard (and expensive to come by in the UK) so I figured try the ol' DIY.

I've put a post in the DIY section about making your own Python based device.

Essentially, its as rdd said, a few attachements and a bit of hosepipe.
