Why Does This Happen When I Am Hatching Brine Shrimps

Il tell you my way of doing it, this gave me a 90%+ hatch rate....

Got a 1L bottle, take the lid off, pierce the lid for the airline tube...
Put the tube through the lid and add a airstone to the end (leave the airstone about 1" from the bottom of the bottle).

Then, fill it 3/4 full, add 2 tablespoons of aquarium salt, and then add the baby brine shrimp eggs..

Put the lid back on, turn the air supply on and put the bottle in to one of your tanks (i use to wight mine down so it stood on the subtrate floor.

They will hatch within 15-24 hours easy this way..

Now here is the clever part....

Get another bottle lid (that fits your bottle...)

Pierce this one too and put a airline through it, only about 1" through...(so its 1 " inside the bottle when u put it on)
Then, use a clamp, or a air cut off valve to shut off the tube (on the outside of lid)

Now when your bbs have hatched, get it out the tank, take the lid off, and replace it with the second lid you made..
Place the bottle upside down ( use to do mine on the sink and balance it on the drainer) - now all the hatched egg shells will float to the top, and unacthed ones will sink (hence putting the tube 1" though)...

Leave it for about 10 minutes to settle, once settle, get a small bowl and place it under the bottle, unclamp the airline slowy and all the baby brine shrimp will come flying out ;)

Your bowl will fill up with orange bbs - use a shrynge to suck them out the bowl and feed to fish....

Simple and easy......

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alternative method to not placing bottle in tank....

Keep the bottle in a warm place with plenty of light on the bottle til they hatch.

You dont use any light for hatching them?

Yes (as highlighted in red...)

If you put the bottle inside the tank method.... the fish tank lights will be sufficent for what they need to hatch.

For how long do you keep the light on? 24 hours? and whats the temperature of the hatching solution.

Keep the light on til they hatch, if you decide to put it in the tank, leave your light on for the daily 12 hours as normal, then overnight turn it off, the shrimp will still hatch.

25 deg is a good temp, but lower temps are fine (room temperature works well too)... ive hatched mne in the garage at very cold temps, it just take longer to hatch at lower temps.

my room temperature is around 34 celsius so what advice do you have for me for hatching them?

They will hatch fine at room temp, just keep a light shining on the bottle until they hacth, even a lamp next to the bottle with the lamp shade off will be fine.

last time what happened was really bad. I had kept the bulb very close to the bottle and the water temperature went over 45 celsius and becuase of it all the cysts died and right not the room temperature is 34 celsius and once i switch on the light it gets over 40 even if i keep it away from the bottle so i dont understand how to control the temperature.

Put the bottle in the fish tank then mate and use the tank lights, you can still turn them off at night and they will still hatch

ok so is the idea that we have to provide the lights only for 12 hours? and for me the problem is that i dont have any empty tank and all my tanks are occupied.

My tanks was occupied when i use to put the bottle in....

I cant really say no more, ive gave you instructions as clearly as possible, all thats needed is to place the bottle in the tank, and do what u usually do with your tank, the lights from the tank will be sufficient to help hatch the shrimp.
