So I just tore down my 10 gallon QT tank about a month ago as I was done buying fish. On a whim of course, I'm at the LFS and there is a very nice looking Mikrogeophagus Ramirezi with stunning color, and obviously healthy as he was running around the tank showing the other Rams who was boss. So I get him and toss him in my 75. And now I see a sole white speck on the back of him. Looks like ICH.
This is the only spot on him, and they didn't fill his bag with water from that tank but from a fresh tap, and the spot just showed up today.
My question -- do I hurry up and set the 10 gallon back up, net him, toss him in there, and treat him? Or can I assume the whole tank 75 is going to have issues now and just treat it?
I'm leaning towards just netting him as it is much easier to treat a 10 gallon than it is to treat a 75, and then just monitor the 75. Thoughts?
