kept seeing fish I liked... kept getting overstocked... solution: buy more tanks on my overdraft.

I got another tank because I wanted MORE FISH, MORE FISH, MORE FISH!!!!!!!
I'm trying to find a place to put another tank or ten. If I could find a way to make a water bed an aquarium I would.

hmmm i buy becasue I want more /different /incompatable with current fish...
however, when my son first entered the hobby, he started with a 5g eclipse, people got him fish for his birthday...
10 neons, 2 cories, 2 bumblebe gobies, 1 betta, 5 glowlights an dtwo kuhli loaches...

all for his 5 gallon.
lol
I thought telling the family,"well I got him a fish tank so you could get him stuff for that." would encourage them to get him decor or a gift certificate for fish/stuff, but the LFS told them the bumblebee's and neons would get along great and they were "so cute".
so he got a five gallon and a ten gallon and surrendered a couple fish to my ten gallon ADF tank and my 55 gallon goldfish tank. Unfortunatly the gobies didn't make it(I didn't know their water requirements or even what they were at the time). but most everyone else did(although the neons succumed to neon disease eventually). I still have one of the cories. This was alittle over 5 years ago.
I'm sure that falls under one (or more)of the above mentioned catagories, but it all started because the LFS told my sister and mom that all these fish would be great together in a brand new 5 gallon aquarium.

Started seriously in the hobby as a present for my four yo son who was then 4 but really really wanted a fish tank of his own.
Then my hubby's birthday came around. Guess what he wanted - his own tank. I slowly got bitten and now I have a 2 footer, soon to have a betta tank that is divided in half as opposed to what they want you to have - 4 fishes in that tiny space. thats for my b'day. We are accumulating more actually. I'm about to have a new baby and I'm setting up a nursery, so I want another tank for in there... Oh, its shocking!!!!  :D

I'm getting a bigger one because my friend was selling it when he moved out, and would rather i had it than anyone else, and he knew that I was looking for a bigger tank.

You should have seen me the day he called to say "Hey, you want t 90 gallon aquarium?"

i bought a pleco knowing full well that it would hit 12" long. (thought at the time that i could keep an adult common in a 30g  )

what i didn't know was that it'd grow about an inch every two months.

or that even when i finally did get a humungoid tank (60g) my pleco would be too much for it!

i think i've gotten things under control now... although i never did get any emperor tetras or german rams or a baby whale like i've planned  :p

i finally upgraded my puffer's 5g to a 20g when i got my nice expensive plecos the same week as an ich outbreak showed up in my main tank :X fortunately the filter on my 5g was overpowered... so far i'm happy with that accident :D i've a single tank with all my favorite fish

Other, i preffer to try and keep fish biotopicly or in species tanks as much as possible so i needed tanks for African fish, Amazon fish, Asian fish etc.

My tanks are all a mess again now so i will be adding some more tanks soon to clean them back up.

Found bigger fish that make me go  , so naturally need bigger tanks to accommodate fish that make me go

If only the rest of my life made nearly as much sense...
