Last night while surfing the Net, I heard a thunk on the hood, as if one of my gouramis leaped up and smacked against it. Since then, all of my fish are frightened and are staying in the rear corner of the tank behind some plants. My cories are fine. I have not seen any aggression among the gouramis. And no, I didn't walk in front of the tank while naked!

When one or two do venture out, if they see movement in the room they panic and head back to the corner. All are gouramis. I've left the light off today in an attempt to help calm them. Any ideas? Is this common?

Yes, water stats are fine, already checked.
