hello. i have 3 livebearers, all males. 2 are swordtails (mickey mouse and hi-fin lyretail or something) and a hi-fin platy. they are all about the same size. i have noticed that they have been nipped up a bit by other fish. just the 3 of them. anyway, in my tank i have 2 panda barbs, 3 giant danios, a very timid dwarf gourami, 2 small angels, a very timid glass catfish and a bronze corycat. i have been watching closely and i can't figure out who it is. anyone have any ideas?

p.s. its a 30g

The most likely are the barbs, danios, gourami or angelfish. Just keep a eye on them see if you can spot one nipping them and then remove one of them. The cory, danios and barbs need to be in groups of 5+. How tall is the tank? angels need a tank hight of atleast 18"

I would conclude that the most likely fish involved in your situation are the livebearers of unknown origin.

You Glass CAtfish is obviously timid as it should be in groups of 6 or more. They will die earlier than they should and will probably starve without other glass cats

he eats fine though hes not afraid to go to the food, he just likes to hide

If the "Glass Catfish" is a Pareutropius buffei (http://www.planetcat...?species_id=327), they do so much better on groups of nine or more, with a tight schooling that easily competes with the more widely reknowned Rummynose Tetra and Hengels Rasbora.

I would also suspect the Giant Danios of being the nippers, as they really need groups of at least six to keep their "top dog" fights "in-house" and even then they are quite boisterous fish. They also need a tank that is as least 4-foot long (but ideally more) as they get towards their fully grown size of ~12cm SL.
