I've been following The Big Fish Campaign on Facebook for a long time now and they popped up saying they were making an appearance on The One Show - I personally hate the show but obviously had to tune in and have a look.

Now this is only available to UK viewers but here's a link, I linked from the point they start talking about the fish. (22m 37s).

A few things popped into my head, the first was they had to find an idiot who actually brought the fish knowing full well how big it gets - not to mention keeping 2 or 3 of them in there with a Red Tailed Catfish.

Not sure if it was just me, but the Red Tailed Catfish looks extremely stunted already, it's back is all arched and it looks so miserable

The Big Fish Campaign also was extremely pee'd off that they actually had tons of footage to show and The One Show edited most of it out. This was after they already postponed the "five minute clip" for more important news the night before - which I watched it, was totally irrelevant just like the rest of the show.

Sucky eh! I guess the message was there but still, not good enough - poor fish

Well, that was rather dissapointing! Just goes to show you what editing does...sorry everyone! We didn't even get the campaign mentioned or buster on camera!!! Oh well there's always next time!

I saw a little bit of it on the one show and the fish shown could hardly turn around in the tank as it was way too small for them. Felt so sorry for the fish

The fact she waited two years to do something about it annoyed me!

I know. I always try and do as much research as I can on any fish I'm thinking of getting, plus asking on this forum.
If I thought a fish was getting too big I would either rehome or get a bigger tank. I know I wouldn't wait 2 years!!

Extremely disappointed over the 'The Big Fish Campaign' clip - They weren't even mentioned for a start! The message was there, but not as strong as it could've been, not even close

The One Show Hi Sophie, sorry about that. We've posted a linked on our facebook page to encourage people to find out more. Very best wishes from all the team here.
