Calm down! I'm not going to kill him, but listen to this. I get a phone call this morning from a guy who has two 75gal complete setups for sale. He wants $75 for the pair :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

I'm soooooooo excited and I run to tell Dan.

From the title of this topic, you can probably guess what he said! :sly: :sly:

Don't worry, I won't give up :shifty: :shifty:
Any suggestions? I don't know how to pass on a deal like that!
Man, Sorrell. You're like the 4th person I've seen on here to get a really good deal on a tank. Is there some list somewhere that I have to sign onto to be offered these kick-butt deals? :p I want a second tank, and hubby's agreed to getting me one, but doesn't want to deal with the extra financial burden until after we put an offer in on a house. But, I'm sure, if someone walked up and said "Hey, I have 2 75G setups for $75 he'd be all over it. :D

you could try telling him to get a brand new one
You could tell hin no tank no sex. (he's a guy if my g\f sad that i'd get the tank (this works best if u get him horney b4 u tell him)

I know this isn't wot people expect here but hey whatever get the results

I don't like the idea of people bribing or threatening to withold something from their significant other, especially over something like this.

The best way to get deals on tanks is to find used ones. Yard sales are one of the best was, or online through E-Bay or any number of other auction sites.

Teelie- I don't think I'm gonna find a better deal than this anywhere.

Two 75 gal full setups tank hood lights filter heaters, all for $75. Not bad if you ask me...

Oh yeah, I can relate...when I found my 55 gallon with everything, even the stand, I just politely told hubby I was going to look at it. He went with me. Of course, once we were there and I said "what do you think" he just kept his mouth shut...I love my 55 gallon...go for those tanks!! :D :D

The thing is that These two would most likely go in my fishroom/birdroom which is an offshoot of the garage (heated). I think he's been in there maybe 3 times in the three years we've lived here. I shouldn't have even told him, but I didn't think it would be a problem ya know?
Wow, Sorrell, I can relate to you here. I also have turned my garage (heated) into a fishroom. The Mrs. very seldom comes out here, when she does she looks around and tells me that I'm out of control. Sounds like you and I are in the same boat, we have the space to pursue our hobby, but funds are limited. Also, like everyone else, I think that this is a way too excellent deal to pass up (but what kind of response were you expecting from this forum, we're hardly un-biased :D ). What I do is set aside a little money each week out of the paycheck (assuming you're working, don't know your circumstance), this way I have cash in case an opportunity like yours arises, or I see this Mongolian fire breathing cichlid that I've been searching for for years and it's only $75, get yours today!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just called the guy (Dan gave me the ok) and he said he sold them to someone in Colorado! He said he does have one 75 left, but he's not sure if his wife wants to sell it or not, but he'll let me know.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so mad!!!!!!!! UGHHHHH!!!!!!

Thats it No luvin for the hubbie for a few days. :p

Aren't girls ALWAYS supposed to get what they want?

Or is someone just pulling my leg?

Oh Chris, don't you worry...I'll still get 75s, but now he'll just have to pay a lot more for them. Isn't that so sad... :shifty:
