Hey again,. thanx for all the info, It certainly has got me intrigued about keeping them myself,
i was being nosey and see your in US. I would take a guess them sell them in the UK, Just never seen any before, and i have about 7 LFS near me, maybe i'm just not looking out for them?

Also i noticed your Breeding Acf Diary and the youtube clip of the mating call! Awesome!!
Was gonna ask about to they make any noise! Do they do that underwater, Or are there heads poking out above water, Can you hear that easily around your house,
Must make you feel like your in the amazon of something lol

the mating call is done underwater - - and we pretty much hear at least one of our males a night. we actually really enjoy it - its not overly loud and overall very soothing!

they are definitely addicting!! I started off mainly keeping aDf....then started up a 10 gallon to try out aCf...and fell in love!

as you can see...my obsession has definitely grown from just one ACF lol

Just played the youtube clip sounds of the frogs to my misses! she was like! how cool would that be to have in the house, make you feel like were aboard!
looks like we may get some frogs when i get my new tank for its current owners!

I bought one of these when I first started out, an albino. I wanted a dwarf frog and the guy in the shop thought that's what they were

Had him for about six weeks and got quite attached to the little fella, but after reading about them decided I'd better take it back. Maybe one day I'll have a tank dedicated to them.

They are frogs

and your remark about the LFS - - happens so often that it makes me want to cry . That's how I got my Phantom - my little sister had bought 3 adf from a store, and one ended up being an ACf - - and they were all from the same tank! simply marked "african frogs"

I went back to the store, yelled at them, then set up a tank for Phantom - and fell in love with their personalities over the adf personalities - and my stock quickly grew!


once we buy a house next year, I have been given the "tankS" go ahead! I plan on setting up quite a few more ACF tanks, along with an oscar tank (which is a dream of mine)

but for now, I am more than happy with my frogs! tonight is feeding night too - gonna load em up with nice fat night crawlers. why shouldn't they get a Thanksgiving day feast too?
