just come in from a day out at football to discover one of my tanks looks like a tornado has passed through.

2 plants remain intact but 6 have been ripped up,dont know the name but got some miniture tree like plants with a twig like stem which have been snapped to pieces

fish are:

2 senegal bichir
3 leopard ctenopoma
2 ornate ctenopoma
1 african knife
1 hoplo catfish

the bichirs look like suspect no1 as there having a great time swimming in and out of the debris

could it be something to do with breeding?

any ideas who and why?

yep could be any of them..Im thinking of getting fakes as anytime my piranha is near a plant and gets startled he just darts away so quick he takes my plants with him

How big is the tank? Could be just as they are big fish, chases occur sometimes, and plants just tag alone for the ride

think i may get more bogwood and rocks tomorrow and just keep a couple of plants,maybe at one corner of the tank.

gonna spy on them later on when they are cruising the tank,see if i can catch a glimpse of whats goin on.

bought it from my lfs, just a basic tank had to diy the lights and sit it on a modified rio 240 cabinet

had a bit of trouble finding a cabinet as it measures 122cm and most pre fab stands are 120-121cm
