I have upped my temperature to 30C and still the whitespots wont fll off the fish, there is only 1 adult in the tank and its riddled in spots..

Treated with med added salt but still its showing no signs of going.

Any advice?

Thanks.

wow 5teady's fish have spots. I thought you were a good fish keeper :)

What sort of fish has whitespot?
I gather there is no carbon in the tank.

Try a copper based medication, that will wipe it out. Make sure you have plenty of aeration.

I can't believe 5teady's fish got spots. wow

Colin, rather than make silly ass comments, go play with your closest high street traffic, or dont reply please, this is a emergency, not a friggin joke.

Going by some of your livebearers replies, it wouldnt suprise me

how long have you been treating the tank with heat and meds? my tank took nearly 15 days when i had a bad bout of whitspot after a new fish was put in the tank.

Been treating it for 4 days now, it seems to be getting worse though, the temp is still at 30C and still the spots are spreading on him more :S

:(

4 days is still early, you have to kill the white spot at a particular part of its cycle, so i have read, keep up the meds and temp and hopefully all will be OK. sorry that's all the advise i have. Goodluck.

yeah usually i would treat once the spots had fell off, but they have not done that yet so i had to start the med early, i just cant figure it out cos usually 28C is high enough :(
