White Things

The neon has had the spot for some time, about 4-5 weeks, the reason i never got sooner, was that i got advice you wait and see what happens, but its not getting better,

You shouldn't really leave things as once they advance there hard to cure.

I lost a whole tank to ntd. The neons showed all different systoms.
One of my neons look like that which had ntd. Losing colour in the whole body region.

It's hard to say if it's ntd, but I would definately keep a look out for the symtoms.

The Only reason for the white body was the light, they are pale when you put the light on, but within 5 minutes they have their full colour back, If it was NTD i think i would go insane, Did you only lose Neons or did you lose lots of different, but i don't see how NTD could of got into the tank.

Ok.
I lost black neons, harlequins, livebearers.

Success- Anti-Bacteria med is working!!, the White Blob size has halfed, and the worst affected neon can now close its mouth, ill be re-dosing today,

OK, i went to see the tank today,

and there is patches of white on the skin of a few neons,
And the fins are slightly ereoded, but the White Blob could look like jelly, i really can't tell the texture.

Water test,

0-Trace of Nitrite
0-Trace of Ammonia
7.1- pH

But all the fish seem to be at the top of the tank sucking for air, not really moving around the tank like usal, corydoras don't seem to be affected, also the shrimp don't seem to be feeding, but all the fish did eat food,

Tortea

But none of the fish look pale, all have their full coulor.

the neons also seem a little more spread out, not really shoaling.

increase aeration in the tank when dosing meds. probably why they are gasping. as for the neons not shoaling-they dont always shoal they will spread out when they feel "safe" only to begin shoaling again if they feel threatened.
cheers

Glad there some improvement.
Still not out of the woods yet.

I was abit worried about the last pic as it looked like ntd.

I agree with loraxchick, increase aeration as meds reduce 02 in the water.

< I don't know what happened, i went away skiing, thinking all fish are going to die, left someone to feed them, and now, the white blobs are much smaller, fish are swimming normally, and everything seems better, and the neons are very vibrant, not really swimming together, but normally, and the shrimp are back to eating normally, the anti-fungus and finrot helped.

The fish were gasping before i put the med into the water

That's good news.

If the blobs haven't completely gone I would do another round of meds.
Thanks for the update.
