So, in my 5 gallon female betta tank, I have a female mystery snail as well. I've been feeding my snail Algae Wafers, and until lately there has been no problem.

Now there is a bunch of white 'mold' growing at the bottom of the tank, on the gravel. I've never had a problem with the Algae Wafers before, nor had this 'white mold'. I'm not sure what it is, so I'm just calling it that.

Can anybody tell me what it is? I don't want it to harm my Nira or my Bubbles. (Nira- Betta Bubbles- Snail).

It's started to go all over the bottom of the tank and even starting to climb the glass. I'm starting to get worried. I've tried getting rid of it by burying it, but that didn't work. Might try to suck it up, but the sucker is a pain in the butt since it takes forever to get it going and that usually stresses out the fish.

Sounds like it may well be mold - from uneaten food...
Hold back on the wafers...
Pic might be useful..

I'll take a picture once my phone stops charging :3
I can't hold back to much on the wafers or else the snail will starve himself, so I have to put the wafers in when he runs out.
The food I feed them floats and never sinks, unless it is pushed under by the fish/current of the filter. Otherwise it just stays there, for days on end, until something eats it.
