White Spots On Bogwood

i've just noticed that my piece of bogwood it covered in tiny white dots. does anyone know what these are.

they might be. how do get rid of them or should i just waitforthem to hatch and then remove them.

If it's new bogwood, I believe it's pretty common for little white patches to form, especially if you are cycling. They're not harmful and will disappear on their own.

Just to throw a wildcard in here, I too noticed that I was getting white speckles on my bogwood, quite regularly after a waterchange.
In the end I worked it out to be tiny bits of 'chalk' from the kettle I had used to heat some of the water!
