Hi

My Betta has got a severe case of white spot. I'm unable to get any treatment for a week, so i was wondering if there is any way of combating a very severe case without medication (i've raised the temp a bit, and i'm doing daily 30% water changes and i'm also unable to get some aquarium salt)

Thanks

There are other forms of salt that can be used safelty, even thought the aquarium salt is preferred. I'll do some googling and see, but I'm pretty sure you can use kosher salt, and other kinds that are NOT iodized.

I have used kosher salt for a salt bath in a pinch. I am not an expert htough, but here's a good place for you to start researching. Once you add the salt then get the temp up, the temp will speed up the ich and without medication or salt in the tank, it won't be a good thing.
