I have got 6 one month and one week old fry and i wanted to know when their colours will develop as they have not really got any colours. some have a few black scales but no proper colour yet. when can you tell the gender of them? they all look like females at the moment. I have some one week old molly fry with them now too. i have a 70L tank and i have 16 one week old fry, 6 one month and one week old fry, one female molly and 2 female platys. Is that ok to have in that tank? i can move the female molly back to her original tank but this was safer for the babies when they were born. Also, any ideas on what fish will go well with mollies, rummy nose tetras, mollies, platies, cories and gouramis?
thanks

They develop their colours at different ages, it's very unpredictable!

They can normally be sexed at around three months, but there's always the risk of late developing/less dominant males looking female for a lot longer.

You'll be ok with those fish in a 70l, but you need to do a lot of large water changes to keep them growing properly; most fish produce growth inhibiting hormones that stunt their growth, once it reaches a certain concentration.

As to what fish will go with your others, it depends on the dimensions of the tank and whether your water is hard or soft, but you already have a mix of hard water (the mollies and platies) and soft water (the tetras, cories and gouramis) fish.
