Heya,
i recently purchased a male Betta and he's now in a tank on his own. I bought a new live plant yesterday from my LFS, not sure what plant it is. Anyways, yesterday night i noticed some white foamy stuff all clumped together at the top on one side of the tank. Is it to do with the new plant, or my lil fishy? Is it dangerous? What should i do?

Thanks

Right, finally. here's a picture of the random white foam that's floating on the surface. Any more questions, just ask!

Typical betta bubble nest. A betta that is in good spirits will often build a nest like that. He is more likely to do so if he has something to anchor his nest like a plant, so the plant may have something to do with it. Contrary to some posts I have read elsewhere, there is no need oto try to get him a female. In most cases that would be a bad idea unless you are ready to get into breeding in a big way. Bettas just take more effort than most fish to breed and rear the young successfully.
