I have my hospital tank up and running for some new fish before i put them into my main tank. Its the first time have had it running with fish. I have had fish in it for 2 weeks now. THere is no lighting on it (saying that, i just put a desk lamp on tonight). All fish are doing well/

HOWEVER, i have just noticed some white fluff like stuff what has appeared around the very top of my heater (an elite, the circle is just below the bubble blue bit). It is also on the rubber suckers. What is it? Is there a problem with my heater? It is not seen anywhere else!

Thanks

its nothing to worry about its harmless
mould/fungus it seem to grow on the releasing agent
from when the rubber suckers were made its been mentioned on here before
but i cant seem to find the post about it
i would remover the suckers wash in warm water

Thats great, i thought it would be something like that, but thought i'd double check.

Thanks very much :)

Twist the stuff off with a tooth brush.
It's nothing to worry about.
