White Dot On Shimmer?

Thanks anne, ill have a look in a minute, Hawkins i havent had any problems with my betta, im just wondering about things for all i know he might be fine!
So shutup!

Shut up? It is a good idea to do a bit of research before asking [Mod Edit] questions.
if we did research elsewhere what would be the point of this forum.
do you actually own any fish or are you just some saddo who cant keep their mouth shut

[Mod Edit] questions?
Im sorry for being worried about my fish, atleast if i think somethings wrong i come seek advice!
What is the point of you hanging around on this forum, you just upset people ( not naming ) if it was a stupid question everyone would be saying the same as you but there not!

its a justified concern to any fishkeeper to notice such changes. experienced folks know what to do and what to watch for. less experience leads to lots of questions which is what this site is for. there is nothing wrong with showing concern and asking advice. plenty of folks that could care less about the welfare of their pets. i think someone has attention issues attacking a thread for no reason.

to the OP...how's the dot(s) now? spreading? changing color? fuzzy or anything else noteworthy? if not, just keep up with your water changes and keep an eye on things. if he has an appetite and swims around normally, not scratching agains the decor or glass then id say everything is fine!

i have no tollerance for rudness so just ignore certain partys' and dont justify with a direct response.

keep us poted
cheers

Hear hear Loraxchick.

Jasmine - lorax has given best advice yet, you are a good owner and can let us know if any changes :)

Well ive recently noticed his heads going black, the scales on his head are turning black and going further down the body and the white spots now black and blended in with the rest of his head yet his body is still blue lol.
Thanks loraxchick.

well that sounds like good news...here's what i think is going on
the white "spot" was old scaling coming off (much like skin peeling) and the new darker color is him just "growing into his colors"...i am going thru the exact same thing right now with my wee boy. he is BRIGHT blue, like electric blue, and in the last week or so has begun developing very dark patches around his head and face. it is all just normal coloration but as i said in previous post, sometimes when they change color on you, it can be as dramatic as if something is wrong.
not to worry...im sure he's perfectly fine and just growing up. as mentioned a zillion times, just keep an eye out for strange behavior (not eating, scratching against things in the tank, etc) and if there is any change in the appearace of the spots (fuzz, whitish growths, redness or streaking, etc.)...then it would be time to start thinking about what COULD be wrong.
all the best!

Ahhh Right, well when i first got him he was a bright, blue & green, now he has a little red coming through on his tail and hes going ALOT darker around his face lol!
He's acting fine though, no worries :)

This is him the day i got him,

Personally i think hes gone alot darker, hes gone to a pure dark blue and the blacks spreading down his body.
Plus his fins having started growing longer.

WOW!......that is quite the colour change...a different betta altogether......im curious..although he does look healthy

A major colour change!
In some lights tho i do see the red and turquoise, but hes mainly gone dark blue!
Hes eating normally, swimming and hes been excactly the same except a little happier lately lol!

wow...that is some dramatic change...and hes not even a marble :hyper:
i managed to snap a few pics of my boy for you to compare, although your boy is much darker than mine...my little guys dark patches are REALLLY noticable. i will upload them later on this evening as i am not home.
but your boy looks GREAT :good: i too think it is a different fish
cheers
