One of my convicts has gone practicly white and lots her stripes and colour on fins. She is swimming round ok but i think she's feeling rather vunerable and going under the log and into the flower pot. The others are all ok. Any ideas please? I've just dosed the tank with anti bacterial meds as a precaution untill i know if i need to use a different type.

Have had them for about 5 months or so. They've all been fully striped up and beautiful blues and yellows in the fins. I have tried to get a photo but she keeps hiding and i don't want to stress her more by chasing round with a net. I'm keeping a very close eye on her for any other signs. And i agree with you it does sound like stress. Will go back to watching her again now and come back in a while to check for any new messages. Thanks Nelly

Ok Nelly many thanks. There was a violent scuffle in the tank this afternoon and thinking about it that may be why she's stressed or in shock. They smacked against the glass and up to the lid and broke the connection on the bubble wall. Only lasted about 10 secs but it would of been enough to shock her if she was one of the ones involved. Will see if she starts colouring up later.
