White Cloud Mountain Minnow Disappeared!

I had 5 white mountain cloud minnows in my tank and one of them has vanished. I looking inside/under all my ornaments, and even checked inside my external filter and there is no sign of it (if it had been pulled into the filter it would have been chopped up by the motor fan anyway...) Any ideas? I know these fish are sometimes known to jump, could it have jumped out the tank at some point?

Jumping was my first thought. I've kept them in an open top tank before and when spooked they did jump.

Any bottom feeders in the tank that might have eaten the carcass?

I do have a lid on mine though, so I would have thought i'd have seen it jump if the lid was open.

Just the minnows atm as its a new tank set up.

The other fish will eat the carcass but normally you will notice that if you are looking at the tank daily. There are only so many choices thought. Eaten, jumped, or hiding.

I thought I was missing a Danio for days until it just one day came back into the shoal! I was stumped as to where it had been for the last 3 days then I noticed it likes to hide very still in one of my leafier plants! haha

....aaaaaaand its back! Unbelievable, I have no idea where its been hiding, but today when I woke up there it was with the rest of them. Crafty fish.

haha told you! same as my Danio. It disappears for days on end, sometimes I catch it lying still as anything nestled into the plants (at first I thought the worst had happened) but no its fine haha. Strange little guys
