any one know why they wont breed pls? I have 5 3 female two males.

or any suggestions to get them to

sorry i meant to say they are convicts

Ok! That narrows it down.... and Convicts (albino or striped) are actually part of the cichlid family and both (albino or striped) are similarly prolific breeders..... If a convict does not breed, they are either too small or you do not have males and females together..... Otherwise, nothing!!! will stop them from breeding.

how big do they have to be sum are quite small the only cost me 50p lol

The price is really not and indication of size, cause I think they breed so easily, that lfs would give them away for free if they have to... I would say they would start breeding at about 1.5 inch, but will grow up to about 4.5 to 6 inch.

i measured and they are all about that siza. im def sure i have males and females too

Look at the dorsal and anal fins.... Males have the pointed fins and females are rounded...... (sorry, I think you may know this)... What is the size of your tank, and what decor to you have in it??

give them time<how long you had them?
any other tank mates?
they should be around the six month mark poss longer until they start breeding, are the breeding tubes showing?
do they lip tug/quiver dance/fight/dig holes together/clean rocks/slate/or glass?
