First lot 2 is more natural looking, 2nd lot 1 is more natural looking, notice the ends of the wood that have been cut off with a saw, in the real world that wouldn't happen, hence my opinion, but he choice is yours. :)

1 from the first post, and difficult to decide on the second two. Depends what you're going to do with it. I'd probably put some flame moss on it or something, and position it so the fish can swim in and out. So probably one again. :)

in all honesty, 2 from the first post!

I have only just discovered different types of wood (previously the only type i knew about was Bog wood... generic heh?)

REdmoor is great, it has a lovely burnt-orange to it when its in the water, and the rooty nature of it means you can arrange it and lock bits in together.

Font get me wrong, the sumatra you linked looks nice, but from what i have seen on line its quite dark :)

Its all nice though, i definatley prefer real wood to other kinds of decs.

for your consideration(provided it isnt against forum rules)

there are some REALLY nice bits of redmoor on ebay. check it out some of the bits are making me think about rearranging my tank.... again....

Depends what you're going to do with it.

As said here, it depends on what you have in mind, as to which one is best!

Thanks for all the replies. I went for the sumatra wood and i'm realy pleased with it. The pic in my sig is what my tank looks like now with the wood in. thanks to everyone for the comments :good:
