Hi all,
I'm new to the forum and appreciate all of the help I've already gotten by reading and would like to thank you in advance for help on this one.
I have a 30 g. cube tank and am using the Penguin Bio-wheel 200B filter (rated for up to 50 gallon tanks). I have a heater (jager) and keep my water at 78 degrees. Unfortunately my water is very hard here, but I have been using a water softener pillow and have gotten the carbon hardness down to about 3 (3 drops to change the color), and my gH down to about 7. However, my water from the tap (where I get my water for water changes (it is treated with water conditioner) is about 8 - 8.1. Currently in my tank I have 6 rummy nosed rasboras, 1 opaline gourami, 1 angelfish, 1 pleco, and 1 spotted ctenopoma.
I am wondering if my water and tank conditions would allow me to get any rams? Ideally, the only thing I would liek to add to my current set up would be 1 more angel and a pair of rams (either blue, gold, or bolivian)
Any info would be appreciated. Thanks so much!
