My moderately planted 200 Litre tank is fitted with three 39w T5 tubes in the hood. I have noticed that one tube is starting to fail. i dont think the tubes are of any quality anyway. I have been reading up on T5 tubes and it seems the most popular choice is to use Plant Grow and White 10K tubes. Has anybody got any suggestions on what tubes to use and the best place to purchase them from. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

Thanks for that stu. Had a look at your link and it was a great help

Does anyone know of any online shops that sell 39W T5 Reef White and T5 Plant Grow tubes?

Hi,

I work for a lighting company and I would suggest that you purchase the Sylvania Grolux and Aquastar.

Grolux:
High level of blue and red radiation helps promote healthy plant growth.
Strengthens the natural colours of aquatic plants and fish in aquariums.
Promotes the process of photosynthesis in plants.

Aquastar:
For growth of coral and aquatic plants in fresh and marine aquariums.
Colour temperature: 10,000K (simulating the tropical light spectrum).
Promotes the growth of plants through natural red and blue sections of the light spectrum.

The information above is from Sylvania's website which you can view.
You probably won't be able to buy them direct but you should be able to purchase them through your LFS or electrical wholesaler. :good:
