Which Skimmer

What skimmer would be best for a tank with 15 uk gallons and a sump of 22 uk gallons?

I was looking at the tmc nano and the v400 i think it was.

The tank will also be in my bedroom so which is quieter?


Does anyone have any specs for them also such as the heights/width and how much of skimmer sit in/out of the water in a sump.

seems abit big to me.

for tank with having sotcking upto 100 gallons and normal stocking upto 135 gallons.

the tank and sump combined is only 37 gallons.


that skimmer said its also a hob skimmer. idealy mine has to be fitted into the sump

high stocking levels the mce300 is rated at 250L. Its also one of the more compact skimmers on the market. The v2 400 is a bigger skimmer

ok fair enough.

was it my reading or is this skimmer made for being outside of the tank/outside the sump.

or can it be used both inside the sump and outside.


sorry if i seem to be getting confused Ive been looking/research lots of different things today but its probably me getting tired

If you got the water level right, you could use it in-sump..

it would hang on the side of the sump easy enough too

as you can see, they are quite slim

didnt relise they where that slim.

however my sump is taking up all the space under cabient (i have 2 1/2 inches at the front spare)

but as ski said im now looking into how to mount it inside the sump
