Their actually Australian soaps that have been playing over here since hmmmm not sure how long they've been running but its at least 12 years for 5 days a week well neighbours has! Home & Away got removed from ITV and later was rehomed on Channel 5 (home to cheesy programs inc Sunset Beach)

They've been running a damn sight longer as I remember them being on when I was at school and I left in 1988 , so I'd guess at over 20 years.

They were both pants, but Neighbours always had more eye candy though, Natalie Imbruglia, Kylie, Blakeney Twins and Holly Valance to name a few.
