Which Pleco?

hey!

went LFS today, and went in for a plec... came out with 3 corys xD

anyhow!

they had a BN pleco, Clown Pleco and a STUNNING yellow spot pleco

the BN and Clown plecos were £5.oo each, the yellow spot was £20

which would you recommend? i want a decent algae eater, and the yellow spot looked amazing!

i used to keep a BN a few months back, tanks fully matured =] community tank!

BN Pleco's are good algee eaters not sure about the other 2, i got a sail fin pleco or gold spot pleco, not sure what one he is, and he keeps my 190 litre tank spotless.

That all depends on what he is, yellow spots describes alot of plecs tbh, you would need a proper name or a picture

id say bristlnose, only cos they are sooo cute, but i reckon youve made your mind up anyway

The label said it was a Yellow Spot Pleco, that is peaceful, and grows to around 6" maximum.

dorsal fin was pointed at the end, he didn't have as bigger mouth as the BN pleco though =/

more info? ^^

Im afraid thats still alittle vague lol, no common name comes to mind when you say yellow spot, it could be anythink tbh

Does the yellow spot look like my one. He has a very tall top fin when up. Not sure if its a sailfin, yellow spot or gold spot as i've seen the same fish at different lfs's with all 3 names (He's a very good algee eater)

it was new in the shop, and had yellow spot pleco £20.oo rare =/

it looks like the gold nugget, but the notice said they grow to 6" max =/, the gold spot grows massive!

I think he was about £6 a year ago he was 2 inches - now he's 6 inches
