9 different people could give you 9 different answers. A lot has got to do with their temperament.

So many variables! Tank mates, tank size, etc.

Okay, say if these were in a 4x2x2 (not all together) with 1 other cichlid, a couple bottom dwellers.
And im talking about their aggression in general, like convicts, there generally aggressive.

You might get more practical answers if you ask a mod to move this to the relevant cichlid section where more people actively keep these fish.

I'll do it this way... the less aggressive are the oscar and JD. Usually and with all the caveats about cichlids. :fun:

Lol so jd's are normally docile?

I'm going to have to say a Jewel, as I own one and see what she can do...not to mention her temperment matches every horror story I have heard...

Black Belt, Manguanese, Red Terror are probably the most aggressive most of the time, then the Green Terror, Jewel and most Flowerhorns (the rest of the Flowerhorns belong in top group) are little better but more reports of them living in modest tanks. Then Cons, Oscars and JDs are probably the safest bets.

Oh, by the way, Snake, I am noticing that you have 1 african cichlid listed amongst a bunch of SA.....Jewels are african.

Oh yeah I forgot, but since they do better in SA water I just added them in as I see most people keep jewels in SA/CA tanks

I tried to keep mine with malawis.....the red zebra almost killed her. She has calmed down since that fight.
