Planning on my first plated tank - 25l, 24 x 8 x 8

I want to know, which is better, this:

Or 2 of these:

Regards, Jonty

P.S. While I'm here, are there any ferts I can just put in at a water change and leave? Is there a point if i have no CO2. The plants I'm planning are anubias, java fern, java moss and either amazon sword plant, hairgrass and some dwarf hairgrass. Ooh, and maybe some floating frogbit.

you need a long tube, not a compact one. for best results you will need a long tube to distribute light better, an 18" long 15 watt tube should do it, but have it 6-8 inches suspended above the tank, so that you dont have literally tonnes of light over it, otherwise you may face algae problems.

does anyone have a link to one or a name of one?

light is not the cause of algae, just want to point that out there, take more than that.

Wrong!

Light + Ammonia = Algae!

You need to stop giving people wrong or misleading info!
