Looks good to me, the plant on the far left balances it out quite well I think, you going to plant on it?

How come you're sat in an arm chair! I want to be at home!

Thanks for the reply. By plant on the far left, do you mean the vallis in the background or the hygro in the foreground/midground? And what do you mean plant on it? I'm satisfied with it there right now, and when the crypts to the right of the hygro fill out, it should look much better... Maybe a better pic should be in order?

The armchair next to the tank came with the house, and I often sit on it and observe my fish. The pic I took was from my computer chair, which I spend most of my time on when I'm in my room, as the table the computer is on doubles as my study table as well...

And what do you mean plant on it?

Attach some java fern or java moss to it? or an anubias, that helps blend it into the rest of the tank.

Thanks for replying. Still need to work on angling the new piece of driftwood, as I feel I am not utilizing its natural shape as much as I can.

I thought you meant plant something on the hygro, so I was a little surprised... Anyways, now that I know what you mean, no, I won't be adding anything else like java fern or anubias. I feel there'd be no space for it next to the new piece of driftwood once the crypts grow out.

I'm still unsatisfied with this layout, as I feel the background looks really empty. Should be better once the plants fill out, esp. the stem plants on the left. So other than the new piece of wood, nothing's changed much, except for maybe some growing...
