Which Is Best

i like the way the juwels have the filter heater and pump all compact in the corner although my juwel rio 300 heaters have a habit of breaking im on my 3rd one in about 6 months
i have 2 in there ATM just incase one packs up again

at the end of the day as far as cabinets are concerned they are both made out of chipboard and flat packed, so is as good as you are at putting it together. i have a fluval roma 240 and a juwel rekord 96, i prefer the look of the fluval, most of the equipment i buy is fluval / hagen. so i don't like to say bad things about fluval! BUT... my roma scares me, yep! it scares me, i often walk downstairs in the morning and just check its ok. it bows out at the front and back, with the weight of the water, i first found out with the lid flaps there is a gap in the middle from the front of the flap to the tank. i cant help but think 1 day its just gonna burst! i dont think the juwel range are as asthetically pleasing as the fluval ranges but thats just my opinion. my girlfriend has a roma 125 and is fine, albeit with my 305 that came with my roma 240. i guess it would be down to your taste.

thanks friends! my tastes lie towards the fluvals im afraid, and seen as you have said that about the cabinet being the same as the jewel ones, i think i will get one, because i am replacing the heater and the filter too, to get externals, and the lighting doesnt bother me as its a cichlid tank....

thanks

The only reason i got the fluval over jewel was that i like the looks of it better, also mine is an internal filter and fluval can't be beaten on them either.

P.S. the doors haven't ever caused me a problem
