Red tailed cat I see them at the LFS and they are only like 3 inches and I always think to myself, "He can fit in my 120 gal..." Then I think about how big he will grow to.
Oooh.... I'd like one of the walk through tanks you get at aquariums that they keep things like sharks in..... Hehehe.... Imagine how many female bettas and black widows you can keep in there
I want the two-foot long menacing-looking catfish (no, I don't remember what kind it is) at the LFS. Or a huge but colorful pleco. I like the fins and colors of the Sailfin, but there are just so many colors and "looks" to choose from... Only problem is I'd be a bit freaked out by putting my hand in the tank! (I know, I'm like the only person in the world who has fish and is afraid of touching them. Very strange.)
By the way, I've heard a lot of people saying that they wish for/want/love clownfish. Having had little exposure to them, can someone tell me why? (No offense intended.) Is it that they're cute and very colorful, or do they have some sort of endearing personality that draws people to them? [Or is it just the Nemo factor...] Just curious. They come up a lot.
They don't look like real fish they look like cartoon fish and nemo did do it for me, but in reality still think they are cool fish, wouldn't want any from the wild though as i don't agree with that, and I prefer marine tanks to tropical.
I like clwonfish just for the color. They have cool character , and I liked them way before the nemo craze. They just dont coem in organe their are a ton of diffenert colors and differnt clownfish.
Thanks for the clownfish info. I just wanted to make sure that it was an aesthetic appeal thing and not some sort of odd or unique behavior that I was missing out on. ("See -- once these fish have acclimated, they sneak out in the middle of the night and do your laundry! If you're very careful, you can catch them in the act!")
[Sorry, there seems to be no emoticon for a fish next to a washing machine]
Sounds like people like them because they're cute, which is a plenty good reason to keep most any fish!
