ok the 2 tanks i have to divide the fish are 1 standard 75 gallon, and one 59.5" x 17.5" x 29" 130 gallon. the fish list includes the following...

2 Severums
1 Green Terror
2 Blue Rams
1 Bala Shark
1 Common Pleco
1 Armored Bichir
1 Tire Track Eel
3 Clown Loaches
2 Pictus Cat (only growing them out for my dad)
1 ABF
4 Cories
4 Flying Foxes
2 Cherry Barbs
2 Gouramies (blue and gold)

I understand that i would probably be best off having the 75 gallon tank be a species tank for the GT, but I would much rather have him in the 135 gallon, so is it possible? i would like any suggestions on how to place these fish! thanks

I've not kept nor have any knowledge on some of your fish but in the big tank I'd have this

1 Bala Shark.......these fish are best in groups, get him 2 buddies.
3 Clowns.............again they do best in groups I'd get 1 or 2 more but a gropu of 3 isn't that bad.
2 Pictus...............great fish these.
1 Common plec.
2 Gouramis
2 Severums........2 males may fight but see how you go, you can always split them up if you want.
2 Cherry Barbs.

The GT may be alright in there and will be better if still young.
The Corys will be fine but may get lost in a big tank.
That should be a really nice peaceful Com tank IMO.

The other fish I'm not sure on.

Hope this helps.

thanks Fat Boy, i think then that the rest of the fish will fit in the tank just fine, because the only ones you left out are the ABF, who floats at the top all day no problems, the 4 flying foxes, who fight only among themselves a little bit, the bichir isnt aggressive just likes little fish sometimes lol, and i believe the tire track will eventually get big enough where the cherry barbs and maybe even the blue rams will be gone. i will consider getting my bala a friend though! he was with 2 other balas but the other two died to ich, and he has been a good loner since then, but maybe its time to change that.

Edit: i just noticed your sig Fat Boy, are the fish in the 125 gallon fairly new or have they been in there a while? and does the terror show any aggression?

The GT in my tank was bought young and was sold as a Blue Acara ( damn LFS ) He now spawns with my Acara every month or so but I suck the eggs out as soon as they're laid, this stops them getting aggresive to the tank mates.

The Balas and Clowns were 1st in the tank 18 months ago, all were tiny then but the balas are 6 inchs now and the Clowns 4-5 inchs, then came the BN's, then Acara, GT and finally Oscar ( hes around 5 inchs )only a couple of weeks ago, he's great, 5 inchs or so, eats everything. He does have a little go at the Balas ( I expected that ) but they're big enough and quick enough to get away from him. The GT had ago once but Oscar put him in his place.

awesome thanks for you help, im so excited for this tank!
