I see most of u post amazing quality pics up, and was just wondering how much u pay for the cameras that u use?

I'm hoping to get one for christmas so if any of u have any recommendations that'd be great! :D

I took this pic today with my mums digital camera, i know its total sh*t but i don't really know how to work the camera properly lol. I don't think its a very good camera anyway but i'm not sure :/

Thankoo!

You don't really need to have such a great camera to take gorgeous pictures. You just need to know your way around a camera and know what diffrent modes are available on yours. Theres a pinned topic that you should have a look at also you can look under hobbies and then go to Photography theres a thread that talks all about taking pictures of fish etc.

Thankoo!

that picture is not that bad. if you close the curtains, this will avoid the reflections from outside. it also needs cropping, to remove the area around the tank.

try with and without flash, if you have a tripod use that. use the macro mode, if there is one. try getting individual fish pics! you will need flash for that, so it will take practise. always review and dump any duff pics.

finally and perhaps most important. Use a good quality editor. it can help you turn, an average quality picture, into a great one. lol most photographs have a good picture in there somewhere, its just finding it.

First close the curtains and turn the lights off in the room and try turning flash off and just having ur tank lights off if the rest of the room is dark ur not gonna get any reflection are u??
and remember its digital so just snap away i do alot of photography myself and i still have trouble taking pics of my tank but just snap away and experiment with it out of i get about one good photo out of about fifty so just snap snap snap
