can I find Redmoor Root Wood?  I guess I should ask if I can get it locally, I know I can order from thegreenmachine but holy shipping charges...Anyone have a better spot I can find some?

Is it necessary to be rude like that?
Jbram I wish you luck on finding the wood.
Does it absolutely have to be redmoor? Any reason for that?

Well, it wasn't what the OP asked for. What you googled was all in England. If you're gonna try to be smart at least do it well.

I wasn't making any rude comments seems like people are being ridiculously over sensitive for no reason, not sure how it got taken that way.  I tried to find wood like those pieces of Redmoor I keep seeing in tanks people post on the forums but I can find none.  I haven't found any good wood for an aquarium that looks anything like those pieces. There was no smart assed comment in there.  The shipping charges from the sites I have found are huge.  I wanted to know if there was a place state side that sold it.  Not sure how asking if I can find a product in my local area is rude /shrug.  Sorry for asking, but why was asking where in the states I can find some such a rude thing, I don't understand how defining an area where your at to find a local source is a rude comment?

Yeah, we meant the draxis dude. You're not rude at all. :)

I wish you luck on the hunt! :good:

I see where you're coming from but to be honest it was kinda funny no?

Back on topic:

I'm also curious to know where I can buy Redmoor driftwood in North Carolina, and I've already done some searches and no local shops have any.

It does appear to only be available in Europe, specifically England.  That was my conclusion anyway.

Oh the op who didnt say city or state? You realize i typed city state and not an actual location due to lack of info. Your post are.... Ill let the pause explain

@Ruskull No, it wasn't funny at all, at least not to me.
I also tried googling it and can't find any specifically in the US.
@Jbram, sorry for asking again but I am curious as to why it specifically needs to be this type of wood? Do people use a certain type of woods when they're doing biotopes and whatnot? ;o If you aren't doing something like that maybe a different wood that you like could be found? Manzanita looks lovely :)

Oh so the fact that the topic was called ' where in the united states ' didn't give a hint?

I apologize, I thought my post had been taken completely wrong.  I just like the look of the Redmoor but have had no luck finding anything like it.   Manzanita is alright but I have not seen any that has the structure  of the Root Wood, most of what I find is larger thicker pieces and I have been unable to find any substitutes in other varieties, especially any that have a nice submerged color like the Redmoor does..

We didn't quote that person so I can see how you got confused :p Take a look at this and see if you fancy it at least a little? As a back up incase you can't find any redmoor around here and don't want to pay the big shipping price that other site has. http://www.manzanita-driftwood.com/Manzanita.html

Thank you Ninjouzata.  Those pieces look nothing like the ones I was finding, I'm surprised I didn't run across that site in my searches.
