Where Do You Get Your Filter Media

[Nick16]

hi, i am going to buy an external (yes taking the plunge) but it has no media with it, i already have ceramic stuff for one tray and i have metres of floss to cut up and put into another but i dont know where to get the filter sponges, the filter will be quite big so i will need large amounts of media, e.g a sheet of about 30x30cm (at least).

where do you guys get yours? any links will be pot notch.
thanks

Why not just buy OE ones?

For what you would save, it's not worth it. I doubt you will change the foam pads in an external more than twice a year.

whats OE?

[smegforbrains]

Original Equipment.

What I mean, is manufacturer's brand stuff.

its not a common make though, so thats not possible. thats why im stumped.

Go to pets at home and buy a pack of filter pads for a fluval 305-405 and then get inventive with the sissors

Or get Eheim pads if the baskets are circular
