I post from my livingroom lol... I am one of the fortunate mom's that get to stay home and raise my children without the aid of babysitter's or daycare centers. I have managed to get my 15 yr old in 10th grade (even though I am math challanged lol) an 11 yr old into 6th grade taking band for the first time, a 8 yr old into 3rd grade currently studying the Constitution of the United States, and with my 4 year old son I can solve blues clues with the best of them. I love being available to my children whenever they need me and to give them the tools to grow up and not need me so much.

I'm a Mom and a Landlord in Florida. I used to be an Executive Producer for a company that works with local governments before I had my daughter. Now I'm happy being home with my 3 year old, and trying to find decent human beings to move into my rentals. So, I post whenever I have time (just found this place!).

we rented out our home once when hubby transfered to another state until we could sell it... boy that was a big mistake. The people seemed like a great family, rent was always on time etc. They managed to get around the no pets (insurance company insisted) issue...well the dog is actually a police dog...insurance said oh in that case.. well the so called policedog turned out to be a poodle! LOL We did not find this out until they decided to buy a house (not mine of course) and had let the poodle chew everything in sight. It took months for us to repair the damage to make the home ready for the sales market..

We will never do that again

I am an Architect, and I'm a partner in my firm, so mostly I get to choose when and how I spend my time. Most of the time I have to run to please my clients, but I can stay late and get things done, or post, or whatever. Especially this year, workload has been scarce.

I live in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, in South America, just above Brazil.
A such location is wonderful for Tropical Fish lovers! So much so that u can find them in street gutters, like this little guy!! That's why most of my fish come from fishing trips, not an lfs

For all of you stay home moms I say, "THANK YOU !!!" I know a lot of times you guys do not get credit because you don't bring in a pay check but I can honestly say I think my life was better (and is better) for my mom staying home with me when I was little. Thank you again Ladies !!

If I ever have children of my own, i think i'd like to stay at home and be there for them although i do enjoy the 30 i have at work at the moment, the pearls they come out with every now and again is worth all the blood from stone stuff.

Must be fab to live some where other people think is exotic, even a corn field sounds better than Bradford

At least Victorian History is quite new, not like my home town - Roman and Georgian splender in Bath (although I live 10 miles outside now - can't afford the house prices!!). Problem is, when you live there you cannot enjoy it. Went to Florence (Italy) once, saw the Ponte Veccio. Comment - "We've got one of them at home!"!!!

BTW I work in computers (installations for the Police at the moment), and I'm also on your side of the Fence - I'm a School Governor.......

I work for the City of Lampasas as a Senior Street Maintance Tech. My posting is mostly at home. I also belong to one of the oldest motor cycle clubs in America Gypsy International M/C been a member for 13 years. Also I was in the First Gulf War attached to the 2nd Marine Division.

I don't homeschool although I have thought about it. Luckily they are all doing well in school but I really wonder sometimes about the public schools. Overcrowding is really bad in our area. They are planning a new high school to be built to help spread out the classes some. My daughter will be graduating from a class of 300+ students.

My sister in law homeschools & she loves it. When her group starts slakking off not wanting to do the work she tells them fine you can go back to public school in the morning and they decide to work that much harder LOL

Hi Everyone,
I am a mom that stayed home with kids until they went off to school. I then started spending my days feeding my addiction with furniture and interior design in a furniture store. For the past 20 years this is what I have done and I absolutely love it. Currently, I do all the buying and display merchandising for a large furniture store, SO, I do not get to view posts at work like some of you. I spend my days running around the store setting up displays and tagging things, as well as waiting on customers. When fridays come around and I get paid, I still am amazed that they actually PAY ME TO DO WHAT I DO!! I just love what I do. I am one of the fortunate ones. I have previously managed 6 stores but dealing with TWEAKING customers got to me and I decided it was way more fun to just PLAY!!!
So I play everyday and when I get home I play with my fish. By the way, I live in Salisbury New Hampshire, a tiny little town with less than 1000 people. It is an old historic town and we have a muster field across the street from us that was used in the Civil War. I live in an 1812 home that I had actually dreamt about for 20+ years before we found it by accident. We have a ghost who's name is Buster. We also have 2 girls, aged 25 and 23. By the way..........all of you that live in warm climates............I envy you. We woke up to a few inches of SNOW THIS AM!!!!!
So this is me and what I do.
