Hey all

Weird question (?) What's the best time to feed fish? Sometimes they are ravenous in the morning - sometimes they're not bothered... just wondered if they react to the daylight hours at all?

I've never really noticed a difference to be honest. I feed mine once a day on an evening, anywhere between 8-9pm. I try to keep it fairly consistent for a routine but I dont think the fish really mind lol

Fish always appear hungry, they will eat beyond their means, thats why you have to be careful of overfeeding.

( feed mine a few hours before lights out. That way if I accidentally get heavy handed on one of the tanks, the fish will still eat everything while they can still see it.

Depends on the fish. Right at lights on probably isn't a good idea as they'll still be half asleep. Nocturnal fish should generally be fed at night, especially when there is competition for food if that wasn't obvious. Most my tanks are right at lights out with the exception of the piranha.
