Feedback? Sure! What if you wait longer than 4 weeks, or feed slightly less for a longer period of time? I know with Angels if you try to bulk them too fast with too much protein when they are adults you can have constipation issues. With angels the chances of this can be diminished by feeding some foods higher in roughage, and fasting one day weekly. Would this also apply to bettas?
Does temperature variances have anything to do with conditioning, and would anything in this article apply? <a href="http/www.aquarticles.com/articles/breedi...%20seasons.html" target="_blank">http

Not that I plan on breeding bettas, you asked for feedback.![]()
yes betta can have poo issues i feed pea i x week with no food on 1 day
well longer is fine but just be careful not to get them constipated due to too much food, and usually i cant wait to start a new spawn cause i want babies! i usually give dad 1 week and mom 2 1/2 to 3 depends on how old she is too, my more experenced female gets eggy faster, maby due to having been spawned prevesouly?
and temp will also make them condition faster, i do it at 80. too low and they wont wanna get to it and too high and they can go too fast, as in trying to make nest and acting frantic when they see the other sex.
pluss higher temps make eggs hatch faster, but if its realy high they can hatch in as fast as 24 hrs, but somtimes then they can be sickly... too cold and they wont hatch at all. pluss for some reason on a lower temp i got more males.. i dunno why.
so 80 f seems to get me the most hatched eggs.
