Where do I even begin.....
Monday I brought home a new Royal Pleco for my 75 gallon tank. When I put him in, he looked like he may have had an external infection but he hid really quick and I couldn't get a good look at him. He was hiding ever since.
This morning I wake up to the Royal Pleco dead and upside down in the tank. My new baby Oscar (Pumba) must have gotten his infection and was sulking sideways in the tank all day yesterday but I didn't think much of it. I had to run out the door this morning and when I left, the Oscar looked like he had both an external and internal infection. At this point I'm really distraught because there was nothing I could do.
Come home.... the oscar looks like he is on his last legs so I'm preoccupied trying to change water, treat with meds.... and figuring out what the hell I should do.
I look over at my divided betta tank with Sunny and Cammy and they somehow had pushed the stopper I had in the divider free and got at eachother again (they had a pretty bad fight last week after i moved their tank around). Both of them were barely recovering before this happened and now were completely shredded to pieces and dying. I had to sadly put both of them down
(really sad to have to do that).
Sunny was by far the most personality filled betta I had and certainly my favorite...... I feel really horrible since I let them get at eachother twice.
No more divided tanks for me..... that's for sure.
If I lose my oscar now too... i really cant even think about it. today has definitely been a downer. At least Timone, my blood parrot, is still happy and healthy in the big tank. This isn't one of those "I hate fish keeping and I'm giving up threads", but it's about as sad as I can get without saying that.
