When Is My Molly Ready To Drop Fry?

hi tff.
yes yes i know there is a pin about this but it didnt really help me so i ask you to simplify it for me.
anyways, i know that she ready when you see the birthing tube open but where is it? and what does it look like when its open?
also i already have a couple fry bowls ready for the fry to grow up in until they are ready to go into the main tank.
and how many shall i expect.
she is pregnant from the LPS i got her from that had like 40 mollies in one tank if that helps you guess how many fish will be born.

There is indeed a pinned topic on this but please have a read through of my own post on telling where your fish is. I find there are a combination of factors that tell me when to look for a fry drop but no simple thing to key on. My own thread includes pictures of one of my breeding females every few days along with my observations at each stage. It may help you answer your own question if you are observant enough of you female's shape. I always judge the readiness for a drop by shape. The link in my signature is called My Molly's progress.
