When Feeding, Some Fish Eat Some Don't...why?

I am new to fish keeping and doing a fish cycle with three zebra danio

Ammonia Nitrite and Nitrate are all 0 in the first four days

But I found when I feed them, one big zebra danio ate a lot, while the other two ate only a little.

Strange thing is the bigger one ate and then spat some of the food out back to the tank...

Was it normal?

Often they will spit a mouthful out if it's too big to swallow. After a few spits it breaks up and then they consume it. Or, revoltingly, another fish eats the pre-chewed food.
