When Adding Water ?

Ok,when im doing water changes i use a gravel siphon to take the water out and then i use a bucket to put the new water in.now to me its not the best for me or the fish.it creates alot of splashing and must stress the fish. whats the best way to add the water ??

Try laying a board across the top of the tank and set the bucket on the board. Then you can add the water back using your siphon and impact the fish a lot less with stirring up the substrate.

I use a big 9L watering can, with a head on it so the water comes out like a shower instead of one big stream. As close to natural rain as possible I guess!

Far from stressing the fish they get very inquisative, and swim over to see what all the bubbles are about.

Very clever! (of course might get a bit tiring for a big tank!)
