i know this has probably been asked before but i have never read one, whats everyones favourite fishspecies and why mine are bumble bee gobys and all types of rams, gobys because they have so much character and there funny looking and rams because i like their colouring :D ;) :)

I like guppies. I know that most people get bored with them but I have always thought that they were the most colorful fish. I have never seen another fish that can come in so many different colors and so many different varieties like the many different tail shapes. And one of the best things about them is that they are such good community fish. I have never seen any of mine go after another species.

My Pseudotropheus demasoni's (furthermost left pic in my signature) are fast becoming my favorite fish. They are small but pack a big punch. :smb:
Plus they never expose their ventral side, so they swim in all sorts of funny angles, hugging the rocks --it's really cool to see. They have a marine fish quality about them.

My thoughts exactly! :D

:kana: I like most tetras. They have a variety of colors and shapes, don't get too big, and most are peaceful. Favorites are bloodfin, redeye, lemon, neon, black neon, cardinal, glow-light, and rummy-nose. Cool fish.

I have always liked "fish shaped" fish, so although keeping very many types of fish over 40 years, I always end up back with barbs, rasboras and the other similar Cyprinids and, to a lesser extent, Characins. I don't like aggressive fish, and appreciate elegence rather then flashy colours.

If I had to pick a species, it would be Barbus gelius. That little fish was the topic of my breeding programs for about 5 years, (set up to prove an idiotic reclassification wrong). No matter how familiar they became, (I had 10+ tanks filled with them), they never lost the attraction I had for them when I first saw them.

L-numbers and Apistograms closly followed by most fish from the South american region.

st.cichlid it says in your sig. that you are a pleco collector. I just wondered what nice plecs you have, I have seen the ones in your sig. and they are fairly common so I presume you have more.

I have two plecos on order at the moment arriving soon, both resonable rare L-numbers, after they have settledin I plan on ordering several more speciemens of different species, probaly the smaller plecos like the Peckoltias etc....

I like a lot of fish but for different reasons. The main thing they all have in common is they have to be aggressive. I would have to say that the Red Devil complex is my favorite species. They have the attitude and also like most cichlids, have personality. Oscars are one of my favs also. It seems the last 5 years or so, they are becoming more aggro and they have unmatched personality.

I like any kind of Corydoras catfish.

They are so cute and unpretentious, but they party when the lights go out! :band:

i love my knife fish and loaches but i havent seen or been able to afford or accomidate other fish so i cant say what others i like
