this is my first post on the goldie section... weird because i LOVE THEM!!!!

any ways i want to know what kind of goldfish do you just love.

i will start with a goldie that i would love to see in person: a panda moor (or black moors, which i have had)

Black moors are my favorite although that panda is pretty cool too! But I don't really want goodies unless I get a pond.

i would love to get a pond!! they are sooooo relaxing! one day i will get one

Yeah I was at a hotel once and they had a very nice pond with some very nice 12+ inch gold fish that were definately well fed. Then in a lake thing (another pond just a lot bigger) there they had some nice koi. Some full grown huge ones and they were even breeding because there were like 1/2 inch ones. So cute. They kept them well fed by having dispensers that tourists put 25¢ in and got a handful of food they could feed them. Then once the dispenser was out they had enough food for one day :)

the dispenser thing is cool. i think i would be afraid if i had goldfish that big! they would be fun to watch though. hehe what if you trued to feed one by hand and it bit your finger

I love Black Moors they look like velvet, and Panda Moors are interestingly patterned.

But the only goldfish type fish that I currently keep are my huge comets with their wonderful red and white bodies and long flowing tails and fins.

comets are cool too. when i had my 20 gal set up for goldies (now a fry tank) i had about 5-6 comets - about 3-5 in long- in there (i cleaned the tank 2 times a month and feeding was not over done). they were so relaxing and i wish i could go back but i have no where to put the fry

Oranda!!!!!!
My sister is planning on getting a butterfly black moor for her 160l but there are already 2 common / comet / something like that goldfish in and i don't think it's a good idea because most fancy goldfish are slow swimmers and my sister's are really fast. can someone please tell me what they think???

i used to have 4-5 comets that were 4-6 in inches long in a 20 gal (75.7L) tank with a big black moor (i miss you Sutton!) and they were all fine together. of course there were the times that his tail was nipped, but nothing bad. i dont think its a bad idea as long as you dont have any 'aggressive' goldies. how big are the comets?

I did have a black moor once and he was called Dudly, seeing yours called Sutton, reminded me of poor old Dudly.

My favourite goldfish are orandas. I'll upload pictures of mine soon as I can take some good pictures.

yeah Sutton was my favorite fish of all time. when i would clean the tank, all of the others woulf hide and sutton would "nip" at my arm and his unusually HUGE eyes (like in avatar) used to tough my arm . i loved him though!!

I love ryukins, but my dream is to have a koi pond with some bonsais growing around it. The climate is perfect for it
